Build and own the event-driven services behind a booking platform used by half a million people a month.

Grachtwerk builds and runs software for clients who cannot afford downtime. You join the platform team of ten engineers behind a booking product that handles roughly forty thousand transactions a day. Your work is squarely backend: Spring Boot services on Kubernetes, Kafka between them, Postgres underneath. You will spend as much time on observability and failure modes as on new endpoints, and you take part in the on-call rota after your first quarter. We ask for five years of production Java, real experience with distributed systems, and the habit of writing things down. In return: a permanent contract, thirty days off, a learning budget of 2.500 euro a year, and two fixed office days in the centre of Amsterdam.
